Went to proud rooster many times during undergrad for breakfast and finally made it back a few years later. This will always be one of my favorite hidden gems in Clifton. You cannot beat the prices especially for the quality of food. This time I finally tried the fried chicken and it was so good! Hope to make it back again soon when I am in Cincinnati one time as this place is such a good eat. It is cash only- which we knew going in as we’ve been before but just a heads up if you’ve never been. We’ve gotten all kinds of things on the menu before from pancakes to French toast to omelettes, hoagies and more and have never been disappointed.

Best diner breakfast I've had in my 3 years here in Cincy. The pancakes were absolutely perfect. And the prices are great too (just remember to bring cash). Only wish I had started coming here sooner. If there's one downside, it's that there were no meat alternatives to pork. There were no turkey variations and I couldn't get chicken either.

Came back from Spain to my old favorite breakfast place. As incredible as always after 5 years away from Cincinnati! Bacon and cheese folded omelet and spicy crispy goetta just perfect! Great to see Bob still as cheerful as ever!

A cozy and nostalgic breakfast spot with a relaxed diner ambiance. The service is friendly, and the interior and prices transport you back to the 70s in the best possible way. We enjoyed the French Toast, Cheese Omelette, and a side of Spicy Goetta—all tasted delicious and comforting, with the Goetta adding a great kick that complemented the other dishes. Note the place is cash only, so be sure to bring some before you stop by.

Old school diner with good food and shockingly reasonable prices. Wait staff were good and cooks and cashier were also nice.

First time at this blue-collar joint, and enjoyed it very much. Western omelet, bacon, and fried potatoes with onions - not the healthiest, probably, but tasty. And inexpensive. Found parking right across the street - meter was $2.50 for two hours. We'll be back.
